Sunset Line and Twine

Founded in 1932, Sunset Line & Twine has enjoyed many successful years of growth and diversification. In the 1940s Sunset purchased the Petaluma Silk Mill (founded in 1892) to expand its manufacturing capability. Product expanded to include thread, rope, and twine in addition to to nylon and rayon fishing line. As a testament to the strength and quality of Sunset line, it was used by NASA for the parachute cord used in the Apollo missions.

Since Sunset's modest beginnings as a fishing line manufacturer. Today more people than ever fish for recreation, and more than ever they demand a "quality" experience from the sport. Sunset has been proud to answer that call and has expanded over the years because it has offered fishermen the quality and innovation they come to expect.
